Today's Surf Update...9.30am Thurs 3rd June 2008...
Dropped off a lot after the big groundswell of yesterday. Still a surfable wave, Puts has shelter but obviously is pretty tidal in terms of size. Todays pix taken on the dropping tide 2/3 hours after high so not really the best time. 6.00am this morning would have been the best time but I was somewhere else.
Weekend looks fairly promising with a couple of foot on Sat with a sw wind. Sunday looking very promising with 4/5ft swell and a southerly wind with even a hint of se. Puts will be offshore on that wind so Sun at Puts looks like it should be very nice.
I'm away this weekend so be a few days before the surf report will be updated. The shop will be open as usual of course and next weekend we resume our Summer Camping Weekends brought to you in conjunction with Secret Spot Camping.. 07818/423498.

About this site... This is a free service provided by Croyde Bay Surfing's "Little Pink Shop". The daily photo's are taken by a real person (me) using a digital camera. The camera is not fixed in position, this is why the location of the pix can be Croyde, Saunton or Putsborough, or even a combination of all three. This is a very labour intensive process and each day's update can take up over an hour. For this reason there are days when it simply isn't possible to provide an update. We do however try extra hard when the surf is firing.

Croyde Bay Surfing's'Little Pink Shop' is situated on Moor lane, half way between Croyde Village and the beach at the Ruda/ Baggy Point end. It is only 100 yds off the main route to Putsborough. We hire winter wetsuits (inc. ladies sizes) also boots, gloves and hats along with all types of surfboards from Softboards to Customs. We also sell all these items new of course. It is always possible to park right outside the shop.
